Churches Helping People – Partnering with God’s People to Serve The Least of These

Proverbs 31:8-9

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.

Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.

Our Vision

The vision of Christian Lovelink is the Christian churches working together in the community in Christ’s name, effectiviely helping to meet needs – and to be seen by the community as doing so!

Our Mission Statement

The mission of Christian Lovelink is to mobilise the churches to work together to help meet needs in the community in the name of Christ.

TO HELP CHURCHES HELP PEOPLE”

Who We Are

As a Christian-based organization our Board and volunteers are from many different Hawke’s Bay churches and denominations.

We help people referred to us through many agencies who need household furniture and items to make their house their home.Sometimes people need one item, others need a lot. We listen to what people need for their circumstances and deliver them donated items from our clearing house.

How Can You Help?

We are grateful to receive beds, couches, coffee tables, dining tables and chairs, linen, crockery and cutlery from our community that we can gift.

Donate:

Your quality beds, furniture, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, cooking utensils, blankets, duvets, duvet covers, pillows, towels, face cloths and tea towels.

We are happy to pick up items from you – please phone us.

Even if you have only one or two items, these will be gratefully received.

We are now able to accept white-ware and small electrical appliances to give out.

We are also happy to accept monetary donations towards our rent, petrol and power costs. Please contact our Operations

Manager Ian Jones at christianlovelink@xtra.co.nz for our internet banking information.

Volunteer:

We always welcome anyone who wishes to help with our work. Our volunteers don’t have to belong to a church but must respect we are a Christian organization.

You can help:

  • in our clearinghouse sorting donated items
  • driving or helping on the truck doing pick-ups and deliveries
  • in the office accepting phone calls and administration

Contact us to have a chat about how best you can fit in.

Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Romans 12:13
