Lovelink History & Background

Christian Lovelink Hastings/Napier began in 1992 with 30 interested people from 14 different churches. Services originally offered included firewood, furniture, linen, curtains, childcare, visitations, transport, mending, gardening, and section clearing.

In 1999 a decision was made to close Lovelink Hastings. A small group of interested people carried on and decided to commence Christian Lovelink in Napier, operating from various church premises in Napier.

Transport in the early days was private vehicles, then a van, then, through a generous grant of $15,000, Christian Lovelink purchased a van and trailer. This has since been replaced with a box-body truck with a tail lift (thanks to another generous donation from a local Trust) that is still in use today.

Presently:

We moved to our current Onekawa rental premises in April 2015.

Here we have a large warehouse clearing house where we accept and dispatch goods from.
